INOVYN, Europe’s leading vinyl manufacturer, is delighted to announce the return of the INOVYN Awards this October.
Recognising the best innovations within the global vinyl industry, the Awards aims to highlight vinyl as an innovative, sustainable, versatile, cost-effective and safe material essential for products that make a significant contribution to modern society.
It also helps to boost innovation by providing winners with support to fund research & development, marketing studies and collaboration with universities & research institutes to help bring new vinyl products to market.
The Awards will celebrate a diverse range of vinyl projects, in line with the following judging criteria:
- contributes to the positive image of the vinyl industry - for example, is a new application for vinyl, uses recycled materials, reduces waste, or improves hygiene;
- brings improvements to existing products - for example, reduces carbon footprint, replaces another material at a lower cost or higher performance, improves the key characteristics of existing vinyl products, or allows better processing or higher productivity;
- is under development or has been available on the market from 1 January 2020.
Awards will be distributed in four categories, reflecting the ongoing priorities of INOVYN:
- Responsible Care
- Carbon Neutrality
- Circularity
- Value to Society, Innovation & Design.
Each category will have a gold, silver, bronze and special commendation winner that will be chosen by an independent, expert judging panel.
Comments Geir Tuft, CEO INOVYN: “Sustainability and innovation are at the very heart of our business. Through the INOVYN Awards we are delighted to be able to support those individuals and organisations that are driving innovation, research and development in the field.
